Improving Defect Detection in Textiles

I’ve noticed some recurring issues in our quality checks that could benefit from a different approach to defect detection. Specifically, we’re seeing an uptick in the rate of fabric defects that aren’t caught until the final inspection. I’m curious if anyone else has implemented new methodologies or technologies that have helped improve their detection rates, particularly in woven fabrics. Would love to hear about any tools or strategies you’ve found effective.

I totally get that! We had a similar spike last year and decided to integrate some AI-driven cameras that spot defects in real-time. It’s like having an extra pair of eyes, but they never need coffee breaks! @textiletechman suggested we do this, and it’s really helped our final inspections.
