Has anyone found a short program that truly gets hands-on with ultrasonic welding, seam tapes, and adhesive films (not just a webinar slide deck)? I’m trialing 20D nylon/spandex with a 12 µm TPU film and seeing peel drop under 3 N/cm after 5 wash cycles at 40°C, so I’m looking for training where we can tune horn frequency, anvil pattern, and bond temperature with real lab time.
I hear you on needing hands-on experience. When we adjusted horn frequency, we found that even slight changes improved our bond strength significantly. Have you tried varying the anvil material as well?
I’ve found that testing different anvil materials can really change bond quality; we switched to a hard material and noticed improved consistency in our seals. Have you considered experimenting with that approach?
Have you thought about using a pulsed ultrasonic approach — it’s like hitting a piñata just right; the right timing can make all the difference in breaking the bonds. @omarF56, do you find this technique works better on certain materials?
